Meet the team

Douglas Dick, MRCVS
Practice Owner
Welcome to our brand new veterinary clinic in Ham.
I grew up only a mile down the road from Ham and for my wife and I, it feels very much like home. I was fortunate enough to study veterinary medicine at The Royal Veterinary College in London and following my graduation, I worked in small animal practice in the East Midlands. After a number of years working in Robin Hood Country I returned back to the Borough of Richmond to practice locally. It has always been my lifetime dream to set up my own vet practice so that I can serve and be a part of our local community. I’m so excited about running my own independent practice where I will make it my responsibility to look after my team, our clients and their cherished pets.
At Thames Vet, we’re a family vets, which means that you’ll see the same friendly faces each time you visit. We will always greet you with compassion and kindness and always do our best for you and your pet. Team work is central to what we do at Thames Vet and I am truly convinced that our dedicated team who love their job will provide the best possible care for you and your fantastic pets.

Biscuit
Head of Tail Wagging
I’m Biscuit, a very ‘happy to see you’ Springer Spaniel (I belong to Doug and his wife Orla). I love going on walks along the river and around Richmond Park. My favourite thing is to get as dirty as I can in puddles, run round like crazy and then fall fast asleep. If you’re out and about on walks, I look forward to meeting you.
